Privacy Policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

Elio helps students prepare for AP exams. We collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and there are no ads or third-party trackers.

Without an account

Your study plan, answers, and progress are stored only on your device. You can delete them anytime in Profile → Reset Everything, or by deleting the app.

If you create an account

Usage data

To improve the app, we record basic usage events, such as opening the app, answering a question, or finishing a lesson, with a random ID, the time, and the subject or topic. We also record how you first found the app (for example a TikTok or YouTube link), using only the link's tracking tag or the referring website's name. These events never include your name, email, or what you type.

We use this only in aggregate to understand which features help students. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Feedback and reviews

After about a week, Elio may ask once how it's going. Your rating and comment are private unless you check the box to share your quote. Then it may appear on our website with only your first name and course, after we review it. Email us anytime to remove it.

Subscriptions

If you subscribe, payment is handled by Apple (in the iPhone app) or by Stripe (on the website). We never see or store your card details. RevenueCat keeps a record of your subscription status, linked to a random ID or your account, so Elio knows whether it's active.

Who processes data

Accounts and synced data are stored with Supabase (database and sign-in), the website is hosted by Vercel, and subscriptions are managed by RevenueCat with payments through Apple or Stripe. They process data only to provide those services. If you open "Continue with Claude" from the tutor, you leave Elio for claude.ai, and Anthropic's privacy policy applies there.

Deleting your data

Signed in, go to Profile → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, synced progress, answers, and usage events tied to it. You can also email us to request deletion.

Children

Elio is meant for high school students and isn't directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Questions or requests: federico.buteraandreu@gmail.com.
